Wednesday we saw downtown Bozeman, and found it has many interesting stores quite different from home (jewelry, furniture, etc.), then saw some final presentations by people graduating from Alan’s program. He had to watch for class, although I also found the first one interesting because it was on differentiating instruction, not just science. That night we went to the graduation for the program, which was cool because we got free dinner and at the end one of the professors did a short magic show. He looked and sounded just like Billy Crystal and was actually very good and fun to watch.
Thursday … swimming, class again … nothing exciting. Alan’s first impression is that most of the people in this program are experienced science teachers, and thus the classes are much more practical, fun, and full of shared wisdom and stories than the other education classes we’ve taken. A thunderstorm rolled over while Alan was still at class, and I had pulled almost everything out of the truck to straighten up … so I had to get everything into the tent or in the front and back “porches,” and everything fit beautifully! Also, it is every bit as water-tight as promised. I love our new tent.
