Met Cara's grandparents for breakfast at Big Boy in Brighton, MI. All-I-could-eat pancakes and some quick catch-up.
Continued on to Alan's alma mater, Calvin College, Grand Rapids. Spent all day chatting with friends, former roommates, and professors: lunch with freshman year roommate Kevin, tech friend and Web guru Jeff and his wife, Sarah; afternoon chats with biology professor Warners and religion professor Whitekettle; dinner with friend from working at the dining hall Luke and his wife, Lauren; and coffee and music with former roommate Jimmye. Alan and Jimmye are right now trying to work out Sounds of Silence on guitar and dobro, in the spacious apartment of friend Dan, who happens to be out of town ...
